Permalink Reply by Richard Channing on March 17, 2012 at 1:39pm It's a good all around work horse. It has a P.T.O. (power take off) for running other equipment and has a load capacity of over 8,000 lbs. if you want to pull the tank and make it a flat/stake bed, you can haul over 4 yards of sand or more of something lighter. Also, the carburetor conversion in Dave's book is the same (single barrel Rochester), so all the specs are there to run it on ethanol!

Permalink Reply by doug Brasher on March 17, 2012 at 5:20pm not trying to be a jerk here ? but the old chevys engines are not made to run unleaded fuel ? or alcohol , the engine in my 58 is 1967 396 bbc and valves and seats had to be changed to run this gas they make now days ? or run lead addative every tank fuel at 5 bucks a bottle. so just thought you might wanna know that ? 235's are getting harder and harder to find !!!!!

Permalink Reply by Richard Channing on January 30, 2012 at 9:27am Haven't found a home for her yet. Re built the carburetor a few months ago and have started on the breaks, did the master cylinder and am working toward the wheel cylinders. I have other projects that need my attention more, so if you are interested make a reasonable offer. Best, Richard
