What's the real story on ethanol in marine engines? I've heard this from several sources and I don't know the whole story. Could it be that many of these engines have seals that are softened by ethanol? Could it be that something in the carburetors degrades with repeated exposure to ethanol? Or is it just another story with little basis in reality?
Or could it be the oil companies fabricating big fat lies pointing the finger at Ethanol when they should be doing something about there junk pump gas that is not worth a bucket of piss.
All this hocus pocus that Ethanol attracts moisture, and destroys seals and bla bla bla, Folks it is just a bunch of bull. Do your own experiments and draw your own conclusions, Don`t just set there and believe all these crap get out there find out the truth for your self, and if you do not have the means of doing so get involved with the folks that are. Like you said Bill. another story with little basis in reality !!!!
