Motorcycles with carbs

I have a '55 BMW R69 with dual carburetors, I wish to run on ethanol. I am asking if anyone has indeed operated their motorcycle(s), moped, scooters as David showed us in the book??? I also have my lawn mower (B&S 5HP), generator (Chinese generic), & a Shindaiwa weed/brush as well I wish to try my luck switching fuels. If anyone has done any experimenting, or trials, I would love to bounce-off someone who has, before I start in on them.

Good luck with your beemer project. I've got a '08 r12r that I'm going to try out on E85 the next time i'm in Nashville since Memphis doesn't have any stations that sell it. If it goes ok then maybe I can try making my own...
