Hello, I wanted to report that I have been using E85 with my log splitter without any problems at all. I was not sure if I would have to adjust the carb but it runs fine without any modification.

This is a good thing to hear.. others out there experimenting, list your successes and try to be as descriptive about the details as possible, such as engine type, displacement, etc.

Follow up...Actually the log splitter, Honda GCV160 5.5hp engine, is running better as I put more E85 through it. It was running poorly before I put E85 in it and I figured that I needed to change the spark plug...but since Bently Bio-fuels is open now and I have access to E85 I figured why not try it in the log splitter. The only thing different, which I anticipated, is that when its cooler I need to use a small shot of starting fluid to get it going but other then that I love it! OH yeah, We are at about 5,000' elevation FYI.

Happy log splitting!

Austin~
