Steam..nice idea. I was thinking of an old stove or something along that line. I like your idea much better. I've just got my feet wet with the zeolite. Contacted sphinx adsorbents today and got a quote, not really too expensive considering its reusable (mostly).

Addictive hobby!

Where did you score the milk chiller? I think the folks down at the local biodiesel
plant are using a similar dairy salvaged tank for mixing/separating… whatever one does to make biodiesel.

Hi Chris

Who said I could afford it?...I have been broke every since I got interested in this stuff!

I have plans for a Zeolite system that uses steam to reactivate the Zeolite so it can be used over and over...that is another fabrication project that will take time and cost money...I have not tried to get into that yet...

Ron, you're the man. I wish I could afford a setup that nice.
Myself, I built a 2" column, 36" in length with an 18" offset head. My boiler currently consists of an old keg, so my capacity is still very low. I'm currently working to modify still a bit by increasing the column and making it a stand alone similar to the 803. I finally have all my permitting in place, so now its time to work out the bug and get the capacity up. Are you using zeolite Ron?

$1000.00 for the tank as it has programmable chiller unit on it that is in good working order with built in evaporation panels in the tank and tank has agitation system...the tank is in very nice condition and is foam insulated double wall construction...the agitation may not be quite what I need as it is for stirring milk but tank has a large manway and built in sprinkler system for washing tank out...

Hi to all. I just joined AU and want to network with people interested in renewable energy and alcohol fuel here in Washington. I live in the Enumclaw are south of Seattle about 30 miles. See my page for more on my goals. If anyone knows an electrician interested in the renewable energy field, let me know.
I have the Charles 803 Distiller plans, and intend to make one to learn how it all works first, and then go on to build a higher production model.
Has anyone in this group finished a working Still yet?
