It would make it so all cars sold in the U.S. are capable of burning ethanol or methanol. But maybe more importantly, the presence of this bill makes a national conversation about alcohol fuels…Continue

1. Save money. It will bring down gas prices at the pump. The main reason gas is so expensive is that OPEC deliberately lowers its production to raise the price of oil, and we have no real fuel choice at the pump. It is all made of oil. So when OPEC reduces its production and makes oil more expensive, we have no other choice — we must pay it. OPEC knows this, and takes advantage of its leverage. Fuel choice at the pump will be the end of a long-running monopoly.
2. Healthier. The fumes from burning alcohol are less toxic than the fumes from burning gasoline — considerably less toxic to humans and other living things. Fuel choice at the pump will include mostly…

Hey Abe, To be pointed about it, this site is not very good and there is little or no activitiy on it. Part of the problem is some of the mechanics of how it's structured. I've left, what I considered, mature, thoughtful and serious questions for David Blume on this site but it's apparent from his lack of response and involvement that this is not a venue to expect results from in most regards. If you want to be involved with people who are actually doing (versus just talking about) alcohol, I'd recommend alcoholfuel@yahoogroups.com It's a great forum that is very geared toward hands-on wrench turning and the chemistry behind distillation.
Best of luck to you,
Peter Arena
I'm just trying to find a group out here in Seattle that supports David Blume's kits and ethanol. Do you know of any Abe? I want to share my knowledge and put some work into getting this started.
Abe,
What's the name of the group/add./ph# in Yelm?
Paul.
Abe,
I'd like to add: being that we have the biggest collection of hippies here in Seattle, I'm incredibly shocked we don't have more support for David Blume's book/converters out here. I'd figure we'd be more liberal (you know, green?).
Paul.
Hi Abe,
Thanks for the welcome. I'm so glad to have found a treasure-trove of alcohol fuel enthusiasts!
Sally
Haven't found a fuel farmer yet. I'm looking into the MicroFueler and trying to convince our local Stone Brewing Company to quench our "thirst" for locally produced alcohol fuel while putting their yeast waste to good use using the MicroFueler. I'll check in with the local Yahoo's and see if I can drum up a letter writing campaign!
Thanks again,
Sally
