Good luck with your projects! You should get a lot out of the book. Is your off grid location out of state? Just wondering since we need all the thinkers we can get around here.

I just ordered the signed copy from the sight. I look forward to having a chance to read it. Hopefully we'll all be able to tell OPEC where to shove it.

I have been interested in permaculture and sustainable living for many many years. I think deep down I knew since childhood that our present way of life would not last.

Through alternative fuels and sustainable living practices however, it looks as if the future may not be as bleak as I had imagined as a child.

Will Ethanol run a Lister?

I'm still waiting for the book and DVD to arrive, in the meantime I've been thinking. We are going to be relocating within the year to an off-grid location. I'm thinking if we are producing our own ethanol and running it in a lister or listeroid engine, we would have the best of both worlds.

It would give you a completely renewable fuel source and arguably one of the best engine designs ever produced. Would this work? Any comments or ideas?
