Have we corresponded a bit somewhere else? In any event, glad to have you here as well. I'm a fairly new member of this forum and like to welcome others (volunteer welcome wagon!). Sounds like you're on the same path as me in some regards. I'm in the beginning stages of building an energy cooperative. First I have to get back to my home in upstate NY (I'm currently in New Orleans)! I'd love to hear your feedback on what you've got in mind about getting started. Is Boyertown a good community that is amenable to transitioning to a post-peak oil economy?

I have no earthly idea why I addressed you as James earlier. Brain fart. Thanks for the quick response. You and I are on the very same page! I am in the process of gathering the necessary legal materials together to make an LLC of Spirited Raven. Your comments about receptivity and feedstock may just as well be my own.
I think we need to talk and bounce some ideas off one another.
Unfortunately, I didn't attend the ACBAG workshop in Cortland. Ironically, that's where I'm from and where I'm heading back to in the next few/3 months. My family is from just north of Ithaca on Cayuga Lake and, provided all goes well, I'm buying a home in Trumansburg just north of Ithaca.
I've been in occasional contact with Stephanie Scheck who, with her husband, was an organizer for that workshop. From what I've gathered, there hasn't been any activity on the Yahoo group so I haven't bothered to sign on...
If you want, give me a call on my work cell: (228)323-7794. My personal cell is (607)280-0064 but the battery is crapping out and I have to get it replaced, so the work cell is the safer bet...
