I can't tell not to move back to Ontario but there are things you can do right there right now! First take a deep breath, then smile, and start dialing your way through the provincial government phone book asking everyone for help in tracking down the relevant government regulations. LOL
I personally have decided that the first thing I need to do is to just get ethanol available here in my city. It isn't even an option right now for us. You could try the same strategy. Get some like minded local folks together and create a fuel supply coop using ethanol produced by local farmers. Of course, that presumes someone is already doing it there. I know of 4 producers not to far from Toronto. Maybe that is not the same there.
The reason I have decided to start with a fuel supply coop is that I can share the load with other people and I only have to deal with municipal authorities concerning zoning by-laws and building regulations, and, of course, the provincial and federal taxmen. But doing things as a group is always less scary than trying to do it on your own.
I figure if we can get the group/coop functioning then it becomes easier to branch out into ethanol production.
I would like to invite you to join our discussion group called "Liquor Control Board of Ontario". Despite its catchy name, it is a good place for Canadians to find some answers to questions about ethanol. I look forward to seeing you there.
