You mentioned an interest in the box. I'm not quite sure if you mean the malting box or the dryer (box fans). The malting box is about as simple as you could want. I just built it out of thin siding with enough room to allow air under and then drilled the bottom with holes. I lined it with that fabric for weed control, because it allows drainage, and left enough to fold over the top of the grain to keep the sunlight off. I used wheat for my trial. I soaked about 50lbs in pails overnight and then threw it in the box. watered it in on my lunch hour and once in the evening for a couple of days. By that time the shoot was as long as the seed. To dry the grain I used a large sheet of tin siding reclaimed from an old barn here in town. I taped a tarp to the edges and put a box fan at each end. I ran the fans while I was home and let the sun do the rest. I pulled enough sugar from the starches to grow a good deal of yeast, so it must not have stayed cool enough to preserve the enzymes. Thats about it, let me know how your still is going!

What do you have to say about Dave's book "Alcohol Can Be A Gas"?

I haven't read his book, Although It is on my wish List, Once I can afford it. I will be making my purchase, Which at that point I will write what I think..
I do know a few people whom has read his book, and they all say the samething, It's a Must Read. Very knowledgable..
So I am looking forward to getting my copy..

About Me:

I am 28 years old.. I am married to the most wonderfull woman who supports me every step of the way. I have two beautifull little girls. One who just started school. (Wow I'm getting old)..
Other than that. I am pretty much a basic guy, I have many hobbies. As most people do. However My hobby isn't as normal as most peoples. I find myself Trying to save the world. All from my office or building. I have a Huge dream of moving forward with my hobby into the main stream., I want to spread the word about how Alcohol can be a good thing, Instead of bad, as so many people believe it to be. It's like everything else in the world,. Its all about how it is used.
I want to show our locals how we can save Money, And save the world at the sameTime. Once I have my locals on my side. I would love to do as David Blume has done and go main stream,. Showing the world the benifits of Using Renewable Energies. After all Most of the stuff used for renewable energies is used daily anyways, Meanwhile it gets tossed in the trash, One simple step in between using and the trash could mean the differences between A clean Mother Earth And A Nasty Mother Earth,.. Meanwhile Most people don't have a clue that they could use these items to do a ton of things.
So in short That's pretty much what I am about. I want nothing more than to open peoples eyes to the truth, And help our Kids and there kids in the process..
